CONVERGENCE workshop at ICUMT 2024 - November @ Grand Canary!

Gran Canary Island - CONVERGENCE

CONVERGENCE is co-organising the 6th Workshop on Emerging Applications and Research in IoT and Human-Technology Convergence (WeaRIoT’2024), which is set to convene leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe to explore the dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape where wearables, IoT, and human-machine interactions intersect.

The 6th Workshop on Emerging Applications and Research in IoT and Human-Technology Convergence (WEARIoT’2024) is set to convene leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe to explore the dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape where wearables, IoT, and human-machine interactions intersect. As technology continues to advance, the boundaries between the digital and physical worlds are becoming increasingly fluid, creating new possibilities and challenges in areas such as immersive virtual realities, AI-enhanced human experiences, and greener, more sustainable societies.

At this year’s workshop, discussions will focus on the convergence of people, technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML), and how these elements are shaping future systems in entertainment, gaming, wellness, and beyond. Central to the agenda are cutting-edge topics like wireless artificial sensing frameworks, socially-aware robots, and the ethical implications of these emerging technologies. The event aims to foster dialogue on how we can leverage these innovations to enhance the quality of life while addressing the associated ethical, social, and technical challenges.

WEARIoT’2024 provides a unique platform for professionals and academics to exchange insights, share practical experiences, and deliberate on the current and future state of Human-Technology Interaction (HTI), including its impact on communication, AI, machine learning, security, and reliability within the modern IoT ecosystem. It also welcomes work-in-progress contributions from doctoral researchers, ensuring fresh perspectives and fostering collaboration that drives the next wave of innovation in this transformative field. Join us in shaping the future of technology and its profound impact on society!
