Jurgis Peters took part in the “Open Archives and Digital Futures” panel at this year’s LAMPA Festival in Latvia, a platform known for sparking critical conversations about society, culture, and innovation.
The panel focused on how emerging technologies like AI, XR, and Web3 are shaping the future of artistic practice in the Nordic and Baltic regions. From creative possibilities to ethical and infrastructural challenges, the discussion highlighted the need for new frameworks as artists and institutions increasingly engage with digital tools.
It was a pleasure to share the stage with an inspiring group of voices in the field: Diana Velasco – Artistic Director of MoNDA (Denmark), Björn Norberg – Artist and Curator, Public Art Agency (Sweden), Raitis Šmits – Artist and co-founder of RIXC Center for New Media Culture (Latvia).
Special thanks to the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia and the Danish Cultural Institute in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for their generous support organising the event.
Conversations like these are essential as we continue to explore the intersection of technology, culture, and public engagement, and we’re honored to be part of the dialogue.
