The event kicked off with opening words (including our PI and some of supervisors), followed by a series of engaging elevator pitches from different research centers (RCs). These brief presentations set the stage for the afternoon, highlighting the unique strengths and focus areas of each center.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees had the opportunity to explore a variety of posters and demonstrations. These sessions included a demonstration by the development team showcasing the latest advancements in microelectronics and neuromorphic architecture. Research on energy harvesting and storage was highlighted through posters and demos, emphasizing sustainable energy solutions. Additionally, innovative applications for bioelectronics systems were presented, among other cool things.
The event featured impressive technological demonstrations, such as advancements in electric drive technology and power quality analysis. A fascinating demo of superconducting technology in transportation was also showcased. The CIVIT demos included volumetric capture studio and motion capture and teleportation technologies, highlighting cutting-edge developments in these areas.
A unique aspect of the event was the “Get to Know Other Research Centers” bingo organized by the CONVERGENCE. This interactive activity encouraged participants to engage with various research centers’ people, fostering a spirit of collaboration and networking. The results of the bingo were announced by CONVERGENCE Doctoral Researcher, Hsiao-Chun Lin, during the evening part of the Faculty event, with awards given to the most active participants reached by public voting.
The winner of the Bingo is Yelyzaveta Pervysheva, with her project titled “Framework for indoor spatial contextualization of information“! Congratulations to the team!
