CONVERGENCE Doctoral Researcher Awarded Prestigious HPY Research Foundation Grant!

Hsiao-Chun Lin has been awarded the prestigious HPY Research Foundation Grant for 2024 for their project on stress detection and the impact of information and communications technology on wellbeing in future networks. We are thrilled to announce that our very own doctoral researcher, Hsiao-Chun Lin, has been awarded the prestigious HPY Research Foundation Grant for 2024!

The funding was received for supporting the project of “Stress Detection and Work: Cross-impact of Information and Communications Technology for Improving Wellbeing in Future Networks“.
This esteemed grant, aimed at supporting post-graduate studies and doctoral theses in telecommunications technology and related fields, is a testament to Lin’s dedication, hard work, and innovative research endeavors.

The HPY Research Foundation, established in 1999, has been a beacon of support for cutting-edge research studies in telecommunications technology, telecommunications business, and the broader impacts of telecommunications. Over the years, the Foundation has contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in these crucial areas, with a library now boasting an impressive collection of 144 doctoral theses.

In 2023 alone, the Foundation disbursed a total of EUR 1.2 million in grants to deserving researchers across various universities. Now, as we stride into 2024, the Foundation continues its commitment to fostering excellence in research by offering grants of EUR 3,000 each to doctoral thesis students.
