As part of the COFIRD – Co-creation for Finnish-Indian R&D project’s India tour, the team from COFIRD, Tampere University, and KONE paid a visit to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore. The delegation included Hanna Heinonen, Gururaj P. Mahajan, Gokul Ramalingam, and the COFIRD project lead.
During the visit, Pradipta Biswas and his team showcased a variety of advanced research demonstrations, including a fighter jet flight simulator and multiple robotics innovations, highlighting IISc’s cutting-edge capabilities in engineering and technology.
The delegates also explored IISc’s beautiful, nature-rich campus, which combines state-of-the-art research facilities with an inspiring learning environment. The visit underscored the potential for Finnish-Indian collaboration in research and innovation, particularly in robotics, simulation technologies, and advanced engineering solutions.
