COFIRD, Tampere University and Tech Mahindra Advance Finnish-Indian Collaboration in New Delhi

As part of the COFIRD – Co-creation for Finnish-Indian R&D project’s India tour, representatives from COFIRD and Tampere University met with senior leaders from Tech Mahindra, including Sandeep Sharma and Rajat Agarwal. The meeting focused on expanding collaboration between Finnish and Indian universities and industry partners, with particular emphasis on advanced network technologies and extended reality (XR).

These thematic areas align closely with the strategic goals of the COFIRD initiative, which aims to build co-creation platforms that enable joint research, innovation development and industry-academia partnerships across both countries. The discussions highlighted strong potential for creating new linkages between Finnish and Indian companies, as well as higher education institutions, to support long-term cooperation in emerging technology fields.

The COFIRD consortium expresses its appreciation to Business Finland for facilitating the connection and supporting efforts to strengthen Finnish-Indian R&D collaboration.
