Background

COFIRD aims to establish a novel Finnish-Indian co-creation and co-development platform tailored to the needs of Finnish companies and research institutions to facilitate R&D activities in India.

Goal

The COFIRD consortium aims to foster innovation and scalable expansion by taking into account challenges of emerging market, and local conditions within the elevator, escalator, and crane industries as demonstration industry sectors in the Indian market. The consortium also facilitates the transfer of technical expertise and execution of R&D activities in India.

Expected Impact

By bringing businesses and researchers of Finland & India together, the COFIRD Project creates new opportunities for growth and innovation. It strengthens the connection between Finland and India, ensuring long-term benefits for both countries.

The project is funded by Business Finland and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
