Researchers from the CAREFIT project visited the 18th European Public Health Conference (EPH), held on November 12–14, 2025, at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki. The EPH conference broadly addresses diverse public health issues and annually brings together researchers from across Europe to present the latest research, share experiences, and network with other experts in the field.

This year, the main theme of the conference was investing in sustainable health and well-being. The discussions emphasized that improving population health and well-being should be seen as a societal investment rather than an expense. Reducing health inequalities was also highlighted as a key component of promoting public health.

Researchers from the CAREFIT project presented preliminary findings based on an online survey conducted in spring 2025 among older informal caregivers. The analyses of the results are still ongoing, and further information on published studies will be shared later on the project’s website.

Opening ceremony of the EPH Conference is about to begin.
The EPH Conference offered a rich and varied program addressing public health issues.
