BRIDGED is led by Dr Vera Gorodski Centeno (Faculty of Education and Culture), Dr Luiz Andrade Alonso (Faculty of Management and Business) and Ligia Ribeiro dos Anjos. (Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences). Together, they provide the scientific and strategic direction of the initiative, ensuring the coherence of content, the coordination of contributions and the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Vera Gorodski Centeno, PhD, is Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Faculty of Education and Culture, Tampere University. Her research focuses on education policy and practice and comparative and international education, with particular attention to education governance, the role of international organizations, and the entanglements of the global–local nexus in educational contexts. She holds a 5-years degree in Sciences of Education (Licenciatura, University of Lisbon, 2004), a Master in Humanities and Social Sciences (University Paris X, 2006) and a PhD in Education with specialisation in Comparative and International Education (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, 2014).

Luiz Alonso de Andrade, D.Sc., M.Sc./MPP, is a university instructor in the Administrative Sciences Unit at the Faculty of Management and Business, Tampere University, Finland. His recent research focuses on social policy, societal security, bureaucratic decision-making, digitalisation and hybridity in higher education, welfare service co-production, and digital self-services. He also serves as a coordinator for the HEP-TED Programme (Higher Education Pedagogies for Teacher Education), a partnership between Rwandan and Finnish universities. In addition, he is a Brazilian federal civil servant (on leave) from the social security administration, where he previously led national collaborative governance and digitalisation initiatives.

Ligia Ribeiro dos Anjos is a researcher and designer with a strong interest in the intersections of technology, accessibility, and social impact. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Societies, with a focus on innovation and social sustainability. Her research explores the ethical use of artificial intelligence, with particular attention to facial recognition technologies in surveillance systems. Through her work, she seeks to understand the sociotechnical impacts of these technologies and their implications for society.
