This session explores the backstage of development cooperation and academic partnerships, with a particular focus on North–South collaboration.

Dr Golaleh Makrooni presents the experience of the Curriculum Development for Climate Change Education Project, a partnership between Tampere University and Indonesian universities. The lecture introduces both the process of building educational development cooperation and the practical workings of a concrete international research initiative.

The second part of the session focuses on climate change education, discussing the project’s objectives, findings, and outcomes. The lecture offers insight into one of the most urgent and dynamic themes in education today: how education systems can respond to the climate crisis.
