Through her work, Katri has played a key role in harmonizing product data and building industry-wide practices. The goal has been to ensure that information is standardized, structured, and interoperable. This allows data to flow smoothly from design to procurement, execution, and maintenance, while also creating the foundation for process automation.
Katri also contributes to the project with experience from the ETIM International network’s technical committee. ETIM International oversees the ETIM classification model, a globally used standard for technical products. Her work in the network provides practical insight into how product classification and attribute data are presented and maintained consistently across countries and industries. This ensures that data is machine-readable and comparable across systems and use cases.

In the Business Finland funded AI Champion Co-Innovation project, we aim to find out the design and construction challenges in Building Services and create a 100 AI Agents to solve these challenges and enhance the supply chains. Co-operators and funders in AI Champion are Tampere University, University of Oulu, Granlund, Fira, Koja Chiller, ETS NORD, Kiilto, GF BFS, Nimlas, LVI-INFO, Sähköteknisen Kaupan Liitto ry and Airlyse.
