Introducing Jussi Rasku

Jussi Rasku: "The general-purpose nature of agentic AI technology is a key property that enables replicable solutions and workflows that remain robust in the presence of incomplete data, changing systems, and partially specified tasks."

Jussi Rasku is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Tampere University and Vice Head of the GPT-Lab research group. To the project, he brings expertise in agentic AI, optimization, and software engineering.

Jussi works at the intersection of research and practice, with his research focusing on how data, algorithms, AI models, and decision support systems can be integrated into everyday business operations. In the project, he leads Work Package 5 and manages research and efforts related to the 100 AI agents promised by the project. The feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts developed within the work package identify which bottlenecks in the MEP supply chain can be addressed, demonstrate which of them can be made measurably more efficient and predictable, and support the dissemination of best practices through an AI agent repository.

Jussi sees AIChampion as an opportunity to build a technical and scientific center of expertise for AI development in the MEP domain in Finland. A key factor is deploying agent-based AI directly into the core processes of the industry, the flow of information, and business scalability.

“I am interested in how fragmented and heterogeneous MEP data can be consolidated through agents and the tools they use into coherent AI solutions that support design, control, and decision-making without manual work or case-specific customization. The greatest expectations are focused on semantic search, but beyond that, the general-purpose nature of agentic AI technology is a key property: they enable replicable solutions and workflows that remain robust in the presence of incomplete data, changing systems, and partially specified tasks.”

In the Business Finland funded AI Champion Co-Innovation project, we aim to find out the design and construction challenges in Building Services and create a 100 AI Agents to solve these challenges and enhance the supply chains. Co-operators and funders in AI Champion are Tampere University, University of Oulu, Granlund, Fira, Koja Chiller, ETS NORD, Kiilto, GF BFS, Nimlas, LVI-INFO, Sähköteknisen Kaupan Liitto ry and Airlyse.
