A workshop regarding the AI-SIM project’s latest research results was held in Helsinki on 21.10.2025. The workshop gathered together three researchers from the project, three procurement professionals and two representatives from the project partner, Sievo. The goal of the workshop was to validate the results gathered from an interview round, while also inspecting some of the most interesting NLP use cases in supplier performance management further.
The session was started by the AI-SIM researchers’ presentation of the research results. After that, conversations were started, and examples of use cases were starting to progress. The goal was to find out one example that could be implemented in the short term and one example that is more ambitious and could be implemented in longer term. Both use cases were examined through, for example, current solutions, current challenges, data needed for the NLP solution and the usability of the NLP solution. With Sievo’s lead, we were also able to create demos of the solutions.
All in all, the conversations were highly interesting and worked as a great continuum for the interview results. The results of the workshop are planned to be used in, for example, academic publications.
