AI-SIM final seminar: Gaining benefits from AI in purchasing and supply management

After three years of research, it is time to report the results of the AI-SIM project to a wider audience at the AI-SIM final seminar “Gaining benefits from AI in purchasing and supply management”. We therefore warmly welcome everyone interested in the topic to join the event! The event will be held in English.

The seminar, organized in Tampere on 29 October 2026 from 13:00 to 17:00, will bring together researchers, project partners, and practitioners to discuss the possibilities of utilizing artificial intelligence, especially regarding qualitative data, in supplier information management and supply chain management. The seminar will feature presentations on the project’s key research findings, as well as talks on practical applications of AI across various purchasing-related tasks. The tentative seminar program is provided below:

The event also offers an excellent opportunity to network and discuss topical themes with experts in the field.

In addition, we are conducting a workshop prior to the seminar. The workshop will include discussion related to how AI could be used to improve Supply Chain Risk Management, and Resilience and Anti-fragility of Supply Chains. We highly encourage everyone interested to take the opportunity to participate in this event too. The event is a great opportunity to share experiences with other experts from the field. The workshop will also be utilized to collect data for academic research purposes. For those participating in this workshop, we will offer a joint lunch between the workshop and AI-SIM final seminar.
